40 Examples of Incredible Photo Manipulation
http://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2009/06/40-examples-of-incredible-photo-manipulation/
The site has great examples of work using Photoshop. My favorite one is buildings built on cigarette ash. The image seems so perfect, right tones of colour and shade, the crackly texture, the smoke and the plan gradient background.
The image gives me the feel of insecurity as if with a blink of eye the buildings will be just a dust of ash on surface. The image shows a bold contract between solid and tender.

Digital image manipulation
http://blog.tv2.dk/bobbob333/entry330561.html
The blog is not written in English so I don’t know what the artist has written as description however my favourite picture is the top one where the man’s head is blown into bits, flying into air.
The whole body has wooden texture, very rough and cranky. The air, eyes and teeth can be recognised rest are knocked pieces.
To me the picture represents a body, which has been shattered. The open mouth gives a feel of being in pain.
I wouldn’t say the picture is realist because if the head was really blown off, I guess it would’ve affected the body the same minute else, if shot then there would only a hole.
